Salsa Vaya And La Cruz Bicycle Fork Recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Salsa Cycles has voluntarily issued a safety recall on its 2011 model-year Vaya and La Cruz forks because the fork legs can bend posing a fall hazard to riders.

The recalled forks were sold both individually and on complete Vaya framesets between February 2011 and June 2012. Batch codes can be found on the steerer tube of the fork, as shown in the photo below. Affected forks include:

The remedy
If you have one of these forks, please stop riding it immediately and return it to your nearest authorized Salsa retailer for a free replacement fork or refund.
